Stop Revive Thrive - Sustaining Service - Noela Maletz

About the Presenter: Noela grew up and was educated in Queensland. She taught in State High Schools inNoela Maletz Queensland and England and then returned to live in South Australia to raise children, and to co-create a social therapy centre for young adults with intellectual disabilities.
In her practice, Noela has been struck by the quantum (energetic) nature of the counseling transaction, and the mystery of human encounter. She is struck by the strange and elusive nature of “change” – how difficult it is for us to change a thought, a story, or a behaviour, but how powerfully renewing change can be. She is stuck by the mysteriousness of timing, and how sometimes age, experience, readiness, circumstance, intention and the great wheel of time can come together, to produce a shift in consciousness in a client or in herself. Noela continues to be struck by how much work occurs before the work is being done while we wait patiently for these moments of change or growth.
Noela is inspired by the work of Parker Palmer and is a facilitator with the Centre for Courage and Renewal, and offers Courage and Renewal retreats in Adelaide and interstate.Masters in Social Science (Counselling); BA.
