The impact of complex trauma on spirituality and meaning-making-Implications and Opportunities
About the Presenter: Toni Neil
Toni has been counselling for over ten years, having earned a Master of Counselling and Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Counselling at Christian Heritage College. Toni's counselling experience is broad, having worked for several Brisbane NGO’s in a range of contexts, including providing general and relationship counselling to young people and their families, and working with long-term unemployed people with complex emotional and social issues. Through experience with many clients who have come her way, Toni developed a particular interest in working with those who have experienced trauma, especially those who have experienced trauma over a long period of time. She now works fulltime coordinating the postgraduate counselling course at Christian Heritage College, while maintaining a small counselling caseload and providing clinical supervision. When not working, Toni enjoys escaping to her quiet semi-rural home on the outskirts of Brisbane's northside with her husband and two youngest sons.
