When difficult events happen in the lives of couples and families, individuals can be deeply wounded by people they love and rely on. This is particularly true for children, and others, who are dependent on caregivers for their survival. Healing often requires individuals to talk together. However, when shame and blame become the focus of these conversations little is resolved. This presentation will offer participants a framework for avoiding shame and blame, in healing conversations with couples and families.
