Walking alongside people and offering a place to talk through distressing feelings, thoughts or circumstances is Jillian's emphasis. There may be things you want to say but don't yet have a safe place to share. Jillian recognises some people prefer creative approaches. Sessions are shaped around each person's needs and preferences.
Growth and healing have been experienced by Jillian in the counselling room, and she knows what it feels like to sit with a counsellor in an unfamiliar place. Jillian helps people develop their wellbeing through body awareness, mindfulness, breath work as well as goal setting. She is interested in Internal Family Systems work. Each person's story is important and each person is unique.
Previously, as an information professional, Jillian worked for many years to resource children, adolescents, parents, carers and professionals within healthcare settings.
Feel free to reach out to ask any questions. Fees are based on a sliding scale, with reduced amounts or concessions for people with financial concerns.
