I look forward to meeting with you and supporting you on your journey, whatever it may be. I would love to have the opportunity to help you work through your unique situation in a respectful, confidential environment. I offer a person-centred approach that is emotionally focused, non- judgemental and faith based.
I would love to assist you on your journey of healing and give you awareness of the possibilities for:
* relief from emotional pain
* greater self- acceptance and understanding
* feeling more in control of your responses
* authentic connection with others
* clearer life direction.
I can help you to understand your experience and how it influences your reactions in situations or relationships.
I have been a special education teacher for over 25 years. I have worked closely with many families over that time and have supported both students and their families through the journey of deafness / disabilities. I have worked with children from birth to the age of 18 and now enjoy supporting adults.
I love working with families, assisting them to connect and support each other. I have facilitated a Parents of Deaf children support group as well as a cochlear implant support group in the area.
I am passionate about supporting Auslan and promoting its use and working with the Deaf community.
I have completed post graduate studies in counselling and I am an accredited counsellor with CCAA/ PACFA.
I am a grief and loss support worker with NALAG – the National Association of Loss and Grief. I also work with other local support organisations to offer bereavement counselling.
Feel free to connect for an initial chat. I look forward to hearing from you!
