Mark Mitchell

CCAA Graduate Member
CCAA No. 201705

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Macquarie University), a Bachelor of Theology (Moore College), and a Master of Counselling (Morling College). I am also a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA, Reg. Certified Practising 31578), and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA, Member No. 26610).

I bring a person-centred, trauma-informed approach to my work, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique needs. My areas of interest include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. I work with both individuals and couples and have particular experience supporting clients dealing with drug, alcohol, and addiction issues.

In addition to my clinical experience, I bring a strong background in Christian leadership, administration and management.  I was a pastor for over ten years, and I have supported individuals and families through issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and existential questions around meaning and purpose. I have been actively involved in child protection and mission work and have served with various Christian not-for-profit organisations that reach out to children and families, both as an employee and a board member.
