Bachelor of Counselling

Life experience as a registered nurse and midwife, as well as being blessed through a committed marriage and a large family, has contributed to my unique understanding and interest in counselling. I look forward to safely listening to your concerns from a trauma-informed perspective. Personal insight from many challenges and joys underpin my counselling practice, especially with life transitions. Interests include family dynamics, relationships, pregnancy, birth, and parenting. Unforgettable milestones in these areas can include both highs and lows of emotional and physical experience and can deeply impact spiritual wellbeing. Unresolved events and losses may occur which leaves one unsettled. Complications arising during menopause and the empty nest years as well as ageing can be difficult to navigate. Compassionate relational communication, as well as equipping with insight for wellbeing and coping strategies are important aspects to my practice style. I currently offer face-to-face sessions in Beenleigh and look forward to hearing from you.
