Master Of Counselling

I believe humans can self-actualise when they are provided the appropriate support and space for safety and connection. I meet and sit with my clients with a deep sense of empathy and in a non-judgmental way to explore their feelings and experiences and to help them be their authentic selves through the growth and healing process in counselling. As a Counsellor, I firmly believe that there is nothing to fix in individuals, but they just need someone to help explore and journey with them to make choices that are authentic to who they are. My practice is based on the Person-Centred approach, Somatic work, Trauma-informed, and Neuroscience, and I integrate other approaches and modalities based on my client's needs, including spirituality, upon request.

Coming from an Asian background, I value cultural diversity significantly in my practice. Likewise, I have an education background of over a decade, which assists me in working with young people, including my years of Pastoral Care work engaging with people across the lifespan.

I am a lifelong learner, taking every opportunity to learn from people, including therapeutic conversations with my clients, which I deeply value. Professionally, I love attending regular Professional Development workshops with curiosity and novelty to expand my knowledge and align my practice with research-based methods and therapy techniques. I also participate in group and personal clinical supervision, including personal counselling, which makes me more human, just like anyone else.

My practice is governed by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Christian Counsellors Association in Australia (CCAA). I am also a member of the Institute of Child Psychology (ICP) and the International Association of Applied Neuroscience (IAAN). I am in ongoing training at The Gottman Institute as a Couples therapist. I also innovate by allowing my clients to meet outside the counselling room. I do sessions in English and Filipino, teleconsultation or in person.

I look forward to an opportunity to meet you with outstretched arms.
