Master of Counselling with Distinction

Andrew Ormiston is a counsellor with a Master of Counselling from Avondale University, completed with Distinction. He is a registered member of the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia and works with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, identity concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, relational issues, and faith-related struggles.

Andrew’s approach is warm, trauma-informed, and integrative. He draws from person-centred counselling, parts work, Gestalt-informed practice, narrative therapy, mindfulness and grounding strategies, motivational interviewing, and spiritually integrated counselling where appropriate. He is especially interested in helping people understand the deeper patterns beneath their distress, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity, steadiness, and hope.

As a Christian counsellor, Andrew welcomes faith as part of the counselling process when this matters to the client. He offers a respectful and reflective space where psychological insight and Christian spirituality can be held together with care and integrity.

Andrew offers counselling in person and online.
