M Counselling | Prepare-Enrich Facilitator

My client-centered, emotionally-focused approach aims to gently help people discover the emotional roots of their core issues and provide tools to bring about lasting change.

I often work with couples who seek help with improving their communication, resolving conflict, processing grief, and rebuilding trust and commitment in their marriage after an emotional betrayal or affair. I am also a qualified Prepare-Enrich facilitator for pre-marriage counselling and marriage enrichment.

I care for individuals covers issues such as childhood abuse, anxiety & depression, grief & loss, loneliness, guilt & shame, relationship issues, and life transitions.

My clients come from different cultural and spiritual backgrounds and from all walks of life. I am able to sensitively integrate faith issues for Christian client and also respect the spiritual beliefs of nonChristian clients.
As a committed Christian, I have years of experience in Christian leadership and have undertaken ministry training to care pastorally for women and young adults. I am passionate about helping people live out their faith and experience God's transforming love, hope & grace through the struggles of life. As a second-generation migrant, I have a heart for people of different cultural background, especially young adults who are discovering their own identity & independence in their personal relationships & the workplace.

I believe that each person is infinitely valuable and has their own way of seeing the world and experiencing it. There is no "one size fits all". While I work primarily from an attachment, systemic, and emotionally-focused framework, I incorporate a variety of perspectives to help clients focus on the emotional roots of an issue rather than just the symptoms. I am committed to providing a safe, genuine and respectful relationship for those who want to work with me. I work collaboratively and support people to help them understand themselves better, cope better with their emotions, and find better ways of overcoming unhelpful patterns to live a healthier & more fulfilling life.

My special interests are grief & loss, past trauma, young adults & women's issues, & relationship counselling. I am available to provide educational workshops to churches in the areas of general mental health.
