Life can be difficult, bringing many challenges to couples and families. It is possible to overcome these hardships with time and work. Here at Together Couples and Family Counselling we can work together to build stronger and more secure families.
My desire is to help couples learn how to communicate well through listening and sharing well and to help build families in which everyone can feel seen, soothed, safe, secure and loved.
Through training with the ACOM, Australian Institute of Family Counselling, Mindsight Institute, Gottman Institute, and the Australian Childhood Foundation, I seek to use techniques grounded in interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, and a trauma-informed lens to help families become closer and stronger, and to help each member feel more fully known.
Along with this training, I have an extensive understanding and insight into missions and missionaries, having served as a missionary overseas for 12 years and then as a member care point person for couples and families for SIM Australia since 2014. This gives me an understanding of issues such as missionary transition, TCK needs, relationships in a cross-cultural environment and other ministry-related issues. I long to help missionaries not just survive their mission experience but thrive on the mission field.
I offer services in person in Deniliquin, NSW or online anywhere in Australia and overseas.
