Alison has been counselling for over 20 years across a variety of settings including primary and secondary schools, community agencies, churches, and currently in private practice.

Alison works from a person-centred approach using an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches that are evidence based. She works with individuals, adolescents over 17, NDIS (psychosocial disability) clients, and provides post-bereavement counselling. 

Alison has particular interests in self-care, preventing burnout, surviving toxic workplaces, navigating life stage changes, spiritual growth and healing, and growth through times of grief and loss.

As a supervisor, Alison is passionate about creating space for the supervisee to deeply reflect on and learn from their work. She aims to balance the art of supervision using creative strategies and intuition with the science of supervision using well researched frameworks. Alison provides supervision to counsellors, chaplains and NDIS Support Coordinators.
