Trudy is a counsellor and professional supervisor with more than 30 years’ experience in pastoral care, counselling, mentoring, community development, and training. She is committed to supporting people toward holistic wellbeing, meaning, and purpose.
Trudy works with individuals, couples, and groups as they navigate personal, relational, and vocational challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, communication and conflict, identity development, spirituality, and stress. Together with her husband Grant, she also provides pre‑marriage preparation and counselling for couples in conflict.
As a supervisor, Trudy draws on her counselling, leadership, and community development background to support practitioners exploring vocational identity, conflict, organisational culture, communication, and team dynamics.
Her integrative, person‑centred approach incorporates reflective supervision models and evidence‑based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, trauma‑informed and shame‑informed models, Emotionally Focused Therapy, attachment‑based approaches, and strength‑focused Positive Psychology. She works collaboratively with every client, creating a safe and affirming space for their story while supporting them toward greater resilience, clarity, and wholeness.
