Master of Counselling, Bachelor of Arts, Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy Trained, Prepare and Enrich Facilitator, Registered with CCAA and PACFA

Hi, my name is Megan. I am an integrative, trauma‑informed counsellor who supports individuals navigating mental health challenges, including anxiety and depression. I also work with couples experiencing relationship difficulties and families facing relational challenges.

I always strive to be warm, non‑judgmental, and genuinely accepting. I want to offer clients a space where they are received exactly as they are in the moment. Rather than acting as an expert, I aim to support and guide clients, treating them with deep respect and listening to their feelings without judgment. This person‑centered approach relies on each person’s inner strength to grow, heal, and make their own life choices, while I provide the safety, compassion, and clinical support needed to navigate those choices with confidence.

My professional journey combines rigorous clinical training with hands‑on practice. I hold specialised certifications in the Gottman Method and Prepare and Enrich, which I use to educate and empower couples with practical tools for communication, conflict resolution, and intimacy—and my trauma‑informed approach compassionately addresses the deeper pain often underlying these challenges.

I bring crisis counselling expertise from community settings, where I have supported diverse clients navigating anxiety, depression, complex relationship issues, personality disorders, and domestic violence through evidence‑based, integrative interventions.

I am an integrative, trauma‑informed counsellor who supports individuals with anxiety and depression, couples with relationship challenges, and families facing relational difficulties. I combine a person‑centered, strengths‑based approach with evidence‑based frameworks, including trauma‑informed practice (prioritising safety and empowerment), neuroscience therapy (rewiring patterns to foster resilience), attachment‑based therapy (building secure connections), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for psychological flexibility and value‑driven living. For couples, I use the Gottman Method and Prepare and Enrich to strengthen communication, intimacy, and relational resilience, empowering clients with practical tools while compassionately addressing deeper pain.

Early in my career, I worked in marketing at a leading blue‑chip company in London, refining my expertise in communication, strategy, and stakeholder engagement—skills that now enrich every client session.
