Shelley offers Professional Clinical Counselling, Christian Counselling and Supervision. She connects therapeutically with non-judgement, compassion, empathy and provides a safe, warm and confidential place. Shelley uses a holistic approach and helps clients over the full life span from children to mature adults.

Shelley is Proprietor of Reconnect Counselling and loves to help clients re-connect to themselves, others, life, God and relationships, where the storms and issues of life have brought stress, anxiety, trauma, pain and disconnect. She journeys together working with clients on their goals towards hope, healing, recovery, life and freedom. She is working in 3 locations in Perth; Myaree, Port Kennedy and Mandurah area.

Shelley is client focussed, person centred and eclectic using many different therapy models, including; CBT, Narrative, Solution Focussed, Motivational Interviewing, Schema, Transactional Analysis, ACT, EFT, Art therapy, and looks at Generational patterns and Family of Origin. She specialises in Grief and Loss, trauma, PTSD, sexual abuse, CSA and relationship and Couple Counselling.

Shelley has over 25 years of combined professional and pastoral counselling experience. She has worked at RiverView Community Services and Ruah Community Services with experience in NDIS. Shelley was a Tutor at the Australian Institute of Family Counselling (AIFC) for Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Graduate Certificate VGC students. She also did volunteer work for RVS, in an Aged Care facility, for many years. Shelley was Professional Development Chair, for the CCAA (WA), serving for 4 years.

Shelley is a registered Christian Counsellor and can counsel and offer guidance on spiritual issues. Shelley has completed training in professional Supervision and is a Clinical Supervisor, helping many students, Chaplains and Counsellors.

Shelley is married over 30years with adult children and grandchildren. She loves being a wife, motherhood, her work, ministry, continued studies, and learning, changing and growing through life's seasons. Having lived and immigrated in 3 countries, Shelley has life experience in many areas.  She is warm, friendly and loves God, life, adventure, sunrises and sunsets, walks, nature, beaches, kayaking, dance, music, gardening, reading, art, interior decorating, and quality time with family and friends.
