Nicola Linton

Nicola Linton is a Clinical member of CCAA and PACFA, with a special interest in treating Anxiety through the lens of Narrative Therapy. She is in private practice in Duncraig, Western Australia.
Nicola studied for a Master of Narrative Therapy in 2019, while undergoing her own lived experience of Anxiety. During this time she was separated, working full time, and the main carer of 3 children – without the support of family in the country. Studying Narrative Therapy during this experience, and filtering it through a Christian lens, was a God-given opportunity to grasp what Narrative Therapy has to offer Christians experiencing Anxiety. Her professional experience since then includes Anxiety related to health, end-of-life, neurodiversity, trauma and poor communication within relationships. In her previous career Nicola was a Clinical Audiologist working in private practice and contracting for Not-For-Profits, and a Sessional Lecturer and Clinical Educator at the University of Western Australia. During this time Nicola worked extensively with individuals, couples, families and communities who were experiencing Hearing Loss and Tinnitus with resulting health Anxiety and difficulties with communication. Her passion involves applying Narrative Therapy skills and tools in a clinical context to tackle Anxiety in all its forms.
