Supervision and PD Requirements
First year of membership:
- Minimum of 2 hours of individual supervision and participation in a PD workshop.
In subsequent years:
- 10 hours of Supervision per annum; at least 5 hours of individual and up to 5 hours of group supervision, and
- 20 hours of professional development (PD) per annum, with at least 10 hours of Category A.
The supervision and PD can be acquired as part of current enrolment in an accredited counselling course.
Advanced Diploma Member
Qualifications
- Completion of an ACA or PACFA accredited (AQF 6) Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, or (AQF 8) Advanced Diploma in counselling
- The course must include a counselling practice practicum.

- Course includes a placement with a minimum of 40 client contact hours of face-to-face counselling practice with 10 hours of supervision.

Qualifications
- Provisional Membership basic training requirements.
- Two years professional practice as a Provisional Member.
- 75 hours of supervision with an accredited supervisor.
- Professional experience of 750 hours of client contact in counselling practice.
- Theological Integration Component: (0ne of two options available)
- Completion of an Integration unit as part of basic training course or equivalent, OR
- 5 hours of theological integration professional development workshop and 4 hours of supervision with a CCAA Accredited Theological Integration Supervisor with the supervision being focused on the integration of Christian faith and theology with professional practice

Clinical Supervisor Member
Qualifications
In addition to Clinical Membership requirements:
- 3 years professional practice as a Clinical Member.
- Completion of a CCAA, PACFA or AHPRA accredited course in supervision.
- 10 hours of supervision practice and 2 hours of supervision of supervision by a PACFA or CCAA accredited supervisor.
To become an Integration Supervisor, in addition completion of a Bachelor, Master or Doctoral Degree in Theology or Ministry.
Applications to become a CCAA Integration Supervisor need to be approved by a your state CCAA Branch Committee.

Supervision and PD Requirements
In addition to renewal requirements for Clinical membership:

Fellow
Qualifications
- CCAA Membership for at least 15 years.
- Minimum 65 Years in age.
- Recommendation by a Branch Committee as being in good standing in the profession.
- In semi-retirement engaged in professional practice no more than 100 client contact hours per annum.
