Leadership and Lecturing Opportunities
Laidlaw School of Counselling – Christchurch, New Zealand
Laidlaw College is seeking an inspirational and experienced leader to serve as our next Head of Counselling. This role stewards a Christian counselling education programme with a well-regarded reputation for developing safe, effective, and deeply reflective practitioners. The programme uniquely integrates Christian theology with counselling theory and practice, in the context of Aotearoa New Zealand.
As Head of Counselling, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and influence key institutional decisions and strategy, as part of the Senior Leadership Team. You will lead academic and practicum staff, ensure programme coherence, represent Laidlaw externally, and contribute to teaching and research.
In addition to a Head of Counselling, they are seeking expressions of interest for Counselling Lecturer roles. These could be full or part-time positions. You will be looking to join a team who combine a strong sense of mission with the academic mind and educational heart of a Christian College. On a day-to-day basis, the role will involve teaching in the Counselling programme, mentoring of students and provision of leadership for group process groups.
