Working with Negative Emotions and their Meanings

This workshop presents a combined EFT – Mindfulness – SFBT approach to help clients engage with, normalise, and constructively engage with negative distressing emotions. It presents a clinical application of the theological viewpoint that all emotions have a God-given function that contribute to our effective functioning as social beings. The clinical approach involves encouraging clients to attend to their negative distressing emotions, discern and heed the message of these emotions, and then take action based on the message as a way of resolving clinical distress. This workshop will equip you to help clients achieve a reframe of their distressing emotions that will open up a way of working constructively with them to generate lasting therapeutic change.
