Thank you for your interest in joining the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia (CCAA).

If you are a Student, or if you have professional qualifications or work in a field related to counselling e.g. social work, psychology, pastoral ministry

  • simply proceed to open an online account and become a CCAA Student Member or a CCAA Associate Member

Please carefully go through each step in this application in sequence as incomplete applications may cause unnecessary delays.

Before you begin your application, have the following documents ready to upload (as a PDF or JPG)

  • Certified copies of your original qualification/s and full transcripts of your Counselling training. Click here for details of who can certify your documents.
  • Supporting documents for the placement with a minimum of 40 client contact hours of face-to-face counselling practice with 10 hours of supervision held during the course.

CCAA expects its members to be practising Christians. You will be asked to state you believe in the Apostles Creed. You will be asked to indicate the Christian church or faith community you are a part of, and provide the contact details for a leader of that church or community as a referee, by providing either a phone number or an email address.

When you commence work as a counsellor you will need to provide a National Police Check and evidence of Professional Indemnity Insurance (either a Certificate of Currency or a letter from your employer stating that you are covered by their PII.
